Our lead technician/owner started out as an air conditioning installer. For six years he worked as a subcontractor for multiple Houston companies, installing all types of residential and commercial a/c equipment. After attending air conditioning college in 1994 he emerged as an EPA certified Technician. He spent 4 years working as a technician before becoming a licensed contractor. Swell Fuel is an ocean energy company based in Houston, Texas. They invent, produce and manufacture small-scale ocean energy converters for research and testing purposes. The buoy is a Lever Operated Pivoting Float with Generator and is Patented 1/12/07. Tidal wave energy, ocean energy and other forms of waver power technologies are becoming increasingly popular as potential sources of alternative energy. With over 60 different prototypes, Swell Fuel is committed to providing the most cost-effective solution as an energy source.

The Swell Fuel "Lever Operated Pivoting Float" electricity generating buoys can be purchased for small scale testing purposes and our wave energy converters are available in 1000 watt and 5000 watt sizes. The wave energy converter can be used to generate electricity that is sent to shore via marine grade electrical cable or used to supply power to marine industrial electrical equipment. The new and improved U shaped buoy (not shown) has structural fiberglass beams, rigid foam core, reinforced fiberglass shell and durable rails on the bottom for protection during handling. Larger units from Swell Fuel will be available upon request.
